    JIS X 8341-3:2016 was drafted by the Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee (WAIC). Compliance with the standard is voluntary. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications recommends that the public sector comply with this standard by using “Everyone’s Public Website Operational Guidelines (2016)”.
